Candy Bar Cookies
INGREDIENTS:
3/4 c. butter, softened
3/4 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. cream
2 c. flour
DIRECTIONS:
Combine all ingredients in large bowl. Mix well with mixer until a dough forms. Pat dough in a 15 x 10 inch ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 325 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Immediately cut into bars. Spread a scant teaspoon of filling in center of each bar. Drizzle with glaze.
Filling: Melt 1 cup butterscotch pieces in small saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly until smooth. Remove from heat. Stir in 2 tablespoons butter, 1/4 cup powdered sugar and 1 cup chopped pecans.
Glaze: Melt 1/2 cup chocolate pieces in small pan over low heat, stirring constantly until smooth. Remove and stir in 2 tablespoons cream, 1/4 cup powdered sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla.
Tip: Quick and easy. Do not cut into bars. Spread filling
