Ingredients:
1 pound sweet butter — softened
1/2 cup sugar
2 egg yolks — lightly beaten
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup crushed almonds
1 ounce whiskey
5 cups sifted flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
confectioner’s sugar

Directions:

Cream butter. Add the sugar gradually to the butter. Add egg yolks and vanilla and continue to mix. Fold in almonds and whiskey. Add the sifted flour and baking powder; mix by hand until a dough is formed.

Shape as desired into cookies. Bake at 350F degrees for 20 minutes until lightly browned on an ungreased cookie sheet. When cool, sift confectioner’s sugar on top.
