Peanut Butter Cookies

INGREDIENTS:
1/4 c. shortening
1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. peanut butter
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/4 c. flour

DIRECTIONS:
Cream first 6 ingredients together. Sift all dry ingredients together and add to creamed mixture.
Chill 30 to 60 minutes. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Roll chilled dough into balls about the size of large walnuts. Place on lightly greased cookie sheet about 3″ apart. Flatten with a fork which has been floured each time. Bake 10 to 12 minutes.
