Chocolate Chip Cookies

INGREDIENTS:

1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. packed brown sugar
1 1/3 c. butter-flavor shortening
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped nuts
1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips

DIRECTIONS:

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Mix sugars, butter, shortening, egg and vanilla. Stir in remaining ingredients. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake until light brown, 8 to 10 minutes. Cool slightly before removing from cookie sheets. Makes about 6-7 dozen.

Chocolate Cherry Drop Cookies

INGREDIENTS:

1 pkg. cherry cake mix
1/4 c. flour
1/2 c. oil
1/4 c. water
1 egg
1 c. chocolate chips

DIRECTIONS:

Blend all but chips using mixer, then stir in chips. Drop by teaspoonfuls on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 10-12 minutes until edges just begin to brown. Cool on cookie sheet about 1 minute.

Chocolate Chip (Or Butterscotch) Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies

INGREDIENTS:

COMBINE DRY INGREDIENTS:

1 c. flour, extra full
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda

COMBINE IN SEPARATE BOWL:

1 stick butter
1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. peanut butter
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 egg

Mix until creamy.

BLEND IN:

1 c. raw oatmeal
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips, OR butterscotch

DIRECTIONS:

Add dry ingredients and mix well until creamy. Make into small balls and press flat on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes or until slightly brown. Remove from sheet and cool on rack. Store in refrigerator. Can be frozen indefinitely.
