Chocolate Cookie Cake

INGREDIENTS:

1 pkg. Betty Crocker’s Supermoist Chocolate Fudge Cake Mix
1 1/4 c. water
1/2 c. butter, melted
3 eggs
1 c. coarsely crushed chocolate sandwich cookies (about 10)
1 tub Betty Crocker Creamy Deluxe Vanilla Ready-To-Spread Frosting

DIRECTIONS:

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Generously grease and flour 2 round cake pans, 9 x 1 1/2 inch. Beat cake mix, water, butter and eggs in large bowl on low speed 30 seconds. Beat on medium speed 2 minutes. Reserve 2 tablespoons crushed cookies. Fold remaining crushed cookies into batter. Pour into pans. Bake 30-37 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes. Remove from pans. Cool cake completely.

Crush cookies finely, mix into frosting. Fill layers and frost side and top of cake with frosting. If desired garnish with additional chocolate sandwich cookies, cut in half.
