INGREDIENTS:
1 1/4 c. butter
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. DROSTE COCOA (or any unsweetened cocoa)
2 c. flour, sifted
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
DIRECTIONS:
Cream butter and sugar together. Sift flour and salt. Stir into first mix. Add vanilla. Chill overnight. Roll into small balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Cover bottom of glass with cloth and press down slightly on cookies. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 10-15 minutes. When cool roll in granulated sugar. Do not overcook.
Footnote: These particular chocolate cookies have a very unique taste and are always a big hit with my kids. In fact, out of all the cookies I bake at Christmas, these are my children’s favorite!
