INGREDIENTS:
3/4 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
3-3 1/2 c. flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
DIRECTIONS:
Cream together butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla until light and fluffy. Sift in flour, baking powder and salt. Mix well. (Usually don’t need all the flour.) Chill dough until easy to handle and roll out to 1/4 inch thick on lightly floured board. Do not roll thinner. Cut in desired shapes. Bake 10 minutes in 375 degree oven. These turn out light in color. Decorate or eat plain.
