Christmas Fruitcake Cookies

INGREDIENTS:

1/2 c. butter
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 c. boiling water
1 1/2 tsp. soda, put in water
2 lbs. raisins
2 lbs. dates
2 lbs. candied fruit, use cherries and pineapple
1 1/2 c. nuts, chopped
3 c. flour

DIRECTIONS:

Cream the butter and sugar. Add the beaten eggs, fruit, nuts, and boiling water with soda. Add flour last. Drop from teaspoon on cookie sheet. Bake at 325 degrees about 10 to 12 minutes. Bake until set–not brown. Makes about 20 dozen small cookies.
