INGREDIENTS:
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. cocoa
1/4 tsp. salt
2 (10 oz.) jars maraschino cherries
DIRECTIONS:
Mix above ingredients except cherries together. Roll into 1 inch balls. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Make dent in cookies, place cherry in each. Drop about 1 teaspoon frosting on top of each cherry. Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Makes 4 dozen.
FROSTING:
1 c. chocolate chips
1/2 c. Eagle Brand milk
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. maraschino cherry juice
DIRECTIONS:
Melt together. Beat until smooth.
