INGREDIENTS:

Mix:

3 1/2 c. plain flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
2 sticks of butter
1 c. sugar

Add:

1 egg
2 tsp. vanilla or almond extract

DIRECTIONS:

Chill dough for at least 2 hours before rolling out and cutting cookies. Cook at 375 degrees for 8 minutes.
