INGREDIENTS:
1/2 c. molasses
1/2 c. corn syrup
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. shortening, melted
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda dissolved in 1/4 c. hot water
Enough flour to make a stiff dough
DIRECTIONS:
This is the recipe as I received it. I guess everyone know how to make cookies. To help you, add about 4 cups of flour. Roll on floured pastry cloth and use cookie cutters to shape dough. Bake at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes or so depending on how thick you rolled the dough. Decorate with sugar sprinkles, cinnamon candies, etc. before baking.
