INGREDIENTS:
3/4 c. shortening
1/2 c. white sugar
2/3 c. applesauce or 1/4 c. water
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 tsp. salt
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
3 c. oatmeal
DIRECTIONS:
Combine all ingredients. Bake at 375 degrees for 5-8 minutes. Note: Cooking time depends on your oven. Makes 3 dozen cookies.
