INGREDIENTS:
1/4 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg, beaten
1/2 c. canned pumpkin
1 c. sifted flour
2 tbsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/8 tsp. ginger
1/2 c. raisins or chocolate chips
1/2 c. chopped nuts
DIRECTIONS:
Cream shortening. Add sugar gradually. Cream until light and fluffy. Add egg and pumpkin, mix well. Sift flour, baking powder, salt and spices together. Stir in dry ingredients. Mix until blended. Add raisins and nuts. Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes.
