INGREDIENTS:

2 1/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. shortening
2 eggs, well beaten
1 lg. can pumpkin
1 1/4 tsp. baking soda
4 c. flour, sifted
4 tsp. baking powder
2 c. raisins
1 c. nuts, chopped
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/4 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla

DIRECTIONS:

Cream together sugar and shortening. Add eggs, pumpkin and baking soda. Mix in all remaining ingredients and stir well. Drop from teaspoon onto cookie sheet. Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes.
