Brown Sugar Cookies

Hard margarine (or butter), 1 cup
softened
Brown sugar, packed 1 1/3 cups
Large eggs 2
Vanilla 1/2 tsp.

All-purpose flour 3 3 1/4 cups
Baking soda 1 1/4 tsp.
Ground cinnamon 3/4 tsp.
Salt 1/4 tsp.
Chopped almonds 1/3 cup

Cream margarine and brown sugar together in large bowl. Beat in eggs, 1 at a time. Add vanilla. Mix.

Stir in remaining 5 ingredients. Form into 2 rolls, 2 inches (5 cm) in diameter. Cover. Refrigerate overnight. Slice 1/4 inch (6 mm) thick. Arrange on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in 375°F (190°C) oven for 10 to 12 minutes until browned. Makes 3 1/2 dozen cookies.
