Brown Sugar Crisps

INGREDIENTS:
3/4 c. (1 1/2 sticks) soft butter
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1 egg
1/4 c. molasses
2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. each cinnamon and ginger
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/4 tsp. salt
Granulated sugar

DIRECTIONS:
Cream together butter, brown sugar, egg and molasses until light. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Chill. Roll in 1 inch balls and dip in granulated sugar. Place 3 inches apart on greased cookie sheets. Bake in 375 degree oven 8 to 10 minutes. Makes 5 dozen.
