INGREDIENTS:
1 c. shortening
1/2 c. butter
1 lb. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
5 lg. eggs
3 c. plain flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
DIRECTIONS:
Cream shortening, butter, and sugars until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla, and beat well. Sift flour, baking powder, and salt together. Add to creamed mixture, alternating with milk. Mix well. Pour into greased and floured cake pan. Bake in preheated 325 degree oven for 1 1/2 hours.
