Brown Sugar Pound Cake

INGREDIENTS:
1/4 to 1/2 c. chopped nuts
2 sticks butter
1/2 c. Crisco
1 c. white sugar
1 lb. box brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
5 eggs (room temperature)
1 c. milk
3 c. plain flour (never use self rising)
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder

DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Cream butter and Crisco together until fluffy. Add sugars then eggs. Add alternately the milk and flour mixed with salt and baking powder. Add vanilla. Grease and flour well a tube or bundt cake pan. Spread the chopped nuts in the bottom of pan. Then pour batter on top of the nuts. Bake 1 hour and 25 minutes. Cool 25 minutes before removing from pan.
