Butter Cookies
1 cup butter, softened
2 cups flour
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup finely chopped walnuts
Heat oven to 350 F. Mix thoroughly all the ingredients. Roll out the dough to 1/4 inch thick on lightly floured board. Cut into 1 1/2 inch circles. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes. If desired, sprinkle with confectioners sugar or put the cookies together in pairs using raspberry jam. Yield: about 8 dozen cookies
