INGREDIENTS:
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. Brer Rabbit molasses
1 egg
2 tsp. baking soda
2 c. sifted all purpose flour
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
DIRECTIONS:
Cream together shortening, sugar, molasses and egg.
Add sifted flour, soda, spices and mix well. Chill 1 hour in refrigerator.
Form into 1″ balls.
Roll in granulated white or turbinado sugar; place on cookie sheets 2″ apart.
Bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes.
